Weekly Update – Speed Work

Tri Peak Strength Session – Wednesday

  • 5am – Cancelled

Thursday – Track

  • Time: 5:30 am
  • Location: Lake Eola – Pagoda
  • Duration: 90 min

Muscular Endurance

  • Warm up 300 easy.
    • 8×50, 2 each stroke on 20 sec rest.
    • 4×125 on 30 sec rest.
  • Main Set
    • 6×300 on 45 sec rest.
      • 2 straight,
      • 2 broken at 150 for 20 sec,
      • 2 broken at the 100 for 10 sec.
  • Cool down: 200

Week of August 2 – 8, 2021

Hello Team,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying watching the Olympics. It is fascinating to see how these athletes preform. It is a testament to their dedication to their sport. I want to thank all the group leads and assistant coaches that have stepped up to lead the team practices.

We have three athletes racing in Ironman 70.3 Boulder this upcoming Saturday:

I will be hosting the Virtual Session from Utah. In other words, I am waking up at 3 am and teaching the session; in other words, get yourself out of BED!

No one knows the battles we go through on a day to day basis! How you approach each battles defines who you are! Change your mindset, you got this! Attack each battle with full force and show them the warrior within!

Main set

10 x 50 with paddles no buoy at 85% with 30 seconds recovery

Sunday Swim Clinic – If you are afraid of the open water and having anxieties attacked, let us help you overcome this fear. Join us for this swim clinic on Sunday at 6:45 am out of Wynne’s house. We will be getting in the water right at 7 am. Make sure to bring a bouy, towel, paddles, fins. It will be a lot of fun. Also, bring baby shampoo for your goggles. It will prevent it from fogging up.

    • Location: Green Mountain Scenic Overlook & Trailhead (20700 County Rd 455, Minneola, FL 34715). Wheels down at 6:15am. If you haven’t been there before, it has parking, bathrooms, a shady trail… and plenty of hills! ~17mi loop (part of the GFT) that looks like this:
  • Suncoast Ride
    • Time: 7:00 am
    • Location: Aurantia Rd Trailhead Blounts Ridge Rd, Mims, FL 32754, United States
