  • Racing: Clermont Triathlon – 5:30 am
    • Waterfront Park, Clermont, FL
    • If you are racing, upon finishing, please do a 90 min or two hour easy ride when done with the race.
  • Long Bike:
    • Location: Advance Cycle
    • Time: 6:30 am
    • Rollout: 6:45 am
    • Duration: 2:30 hour
    • Led by Don D

Sunday

  • Long Bike Clermont
    • Time: 6:00 am
    • Rollout at 6:15 am
    • Location: Green Mountain Scenic Overlook & Trailhead (20700 County Rd 455, Minneola, FL 34715). Wheels down at 6:15am. If you haven’t been there before, it has parking, bathrooms, a shady trail… and plenty of hills! ~17mi loop (part of the GFT) that looks like this:
  • Suncoast Ride
    • Time: 7:00 am
    • Location: Aurantia Rd Trailhead Blounts Ridge Rd, Mims, FL 32754, United States
    • Duration: 2 hour 30 min
    • Led by Coach Meister

Week of July 5 – 11, 2021

Good morning team,

I hope you all had a good Fourth of July weekend. I am in Logan, UT for recordings this week for iFit. Therefore, I will not be coaching the sessions. However, I will have my assistant coaches leading the workouts. You can contact me via text if needed.

I apologize, for the bike ride this morning. I got confused with the time change. Please do the following workout on your own:

In addition, this upcoming Saturday is the Clermont Sprint Race. If you are not participating, I encourage you to go and cheer your teammates on. The Special Olympics will have their 2nd race of the season.

Sunday – Schedule

Hello team,

As we adjusted the workout for Saturday. We are going to change the workout. However, the weather looks really bad in the morning. Therefore, please get the run workout on your own. If you plan to ride with Jeff in the Suncoast Trail, please contact him directly.

Enclosed you will find the breakdown based upon the distance you will be racing:

Warm up:

  • 10 min easy building from a jog to your long run pace
  • 4 x 20 sec build with 40 sec recovery
  • 6 min easy
  • Total warm up: 20 min

Main Set:

  • Ironman distance:
    • Florida / Cozumel: 12 – 14 miles – 8 miles at long run pace / last 4 miles at Tempo Pace (Walk 1 min every 2 miles.) / 2 mile cool down
    • Augusta / North Carolina: 10 – 12 miles – 6 miles at long run pace / last 4 miles at Tempo Pace (Walk 1 min every 2 miles.) / 2 mile cool down

Make sure you foam roll and stretch. Please do your hip mobility exercises before your workouts. If you can fit in a 45 min easy ride on your bike trainer later in the day! I will highly recommend it!

There will not be a midnight swim this year. Lucky couldn’t find a movie scarier than last year’s pandemic. Maybe next year.
