Ironman Florida
I just wanted to give you a quick update about the TriClub Village:
Here at the IRONMAN TriClub Program, our top priority is the health and safety of our athletes. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, IRONMAN will NOT host a TriClub Village at events in 2020. Clubs are highly encouraged to not gather in large groups. While this year is very different, we are excited to return to racing and to see our TriClub Program members cross the finish line! Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for your dedication to the IRONMAN TriClub Program!
A FEW REMINERS:
NO spectators at this event
NO pop-tents
NO trailers
NO gatherings
Face coverings are required at all times unless racing
There will be no viewing areas for this race besides Volunteering. Click here for Volunteer opportunities.
IRONMAN is not responsible for any clubs that do not adhere to the rules
Ironman California
TriClub Priority Registration for 2021 IRONMAN California is NOW OPEN! Your club members can register before the general public! Athletes interested in taking advantage of priority registration will enjoy a new pricing structure, which guarantees the lowest-price entry if registered during the priority registration window. Below is your club’s link to register. This link can be shared with your entire club to help make the process easier. Priority registration will be open until Sunday, November 1 at 11:59 pm EST. Please make sure to register before than to secure the lowest price-entry. The link will not be active after 11/1.
IRONMAN California will be defined by new records and going beyond what is expected. Whether it be a personal record or a world record, prepare yourself for an experience that can be described in one word: Fast.

Congratulations to Luis Ortiz for crushing his race on Sunday. He won overall!
As you are aware, this week I am leaving Thursday after my 10 am session to North Carolina for the Training Camp. Therefore, this weekend, you are on your own. You can make arrangements within yourselves to meet up and ride. Please ride safe and obey all traffic laws.
Special Olympics Triathletes – Florida
Even though Covid impacted SO group triathlon practices and our official race season this year, many of our athletes continued to train and most participated in our virtual triathlon! So proud of them!
Additionally, I am excited to report that 5 of our athletes (so far) have independently decided to race in the Daytona Sprint Triathlon challenge on Dec. 6 as part of the Central Florida Triathlon Club.
Jonathon Sady (Jamie Moses)
Andrew Ahearn (Phyllis Crain)
Adrienne Bunn (Linda Freeman)
Kennet Lefkovic (Wynne McFarlin)
Chris Nikic (Dan Grieb)
The race director has agreed to have a separate bike rack in transition designated specifically for the SO athletes racing with the Central Florida Tri club. This will permit us to see each other at set up and during transitions (as timing permits). Athletes will be racing in their respective age groups. There is no Special Olympics division as this is not a Special Olympics sanctioned race.
If there are other SO athletes interested in participating in this race, let me know. I can find a partner for you if your regular unified partner is not available or interested. You can register using the discount code for Central Florida Triathlon Club to get a 10% discount. The rates go up (again) after Oct. 31. You can sign up here: https://challenge-daytona.com/races/sprintdistance/. The discount code is: “CD20-CentralFloridaTriathlonClub”. If tents are permitted, Coach Hector intends to set up the CFL Tri Club tent so we can all find each other at the end of the race, if not sooner. We encourage everyone to follow covid safety guidelines and recommendations.
